Interior design and project management of the Star Alliance VIP Lounge at Rome Fiumicino Airport (FCO).

Interior design created specifically for this iconic company, one of the world's largest global airline alliances, reaffirms the elegance and exclusivity that Star Alliance members expect to find in their VIP lounges.

Star Alliance

Star Alliance is the main airline alliances in the world. Its 27 member airlines offer access to more than 1,000 VIP lounges around the world, providing passengers with quiet and exclusive spaces to work or relax before their flight.

Located at Rome's Leonardo da Vinci International Airport, the Premium VIP lounge is intended for its passengers, First and Business Class, it was the first Star Alliance lounge at this airport.

The design

Located in the Intra-Schengen area of Terminal 3, the VIP lounge offers a modern Italian style with views of the airfield, where guests are invited to enjoy timeless Italian flavors.

The design of this VIP lounge stands out for its balance and sense of harmony and elegance that its materials, shapes, and light transmit. While the VIP lounge follows the core design palette of Star Alliance lounges around the world, based on comfort, quality and functionality.

It highlights “local flavors” that reflect the city and country in which it is located. So we wanted to give special emphasis to the importance of design in this country, so the furniture is 100% Italian.

The walls with images of Ted Fahn, in black and white and of the city of Rome and its inhabitants are elements of great visual impact that help add personality and provide a sense of belonging.

The same happens with the press display that is configured as an area for exhibition, with searched and found objects, representative of the local culture.

How is this VIP lounge?

This VIP lounge accommodates around 130 passengers, it has specially designed areas so that passengers can work, eat and drink, relax or socialize. It also has USB devices and sockets at each seat to ensure that users' electrical devices are fully charged before the flight.

The user experience is an important point, so the creation of a custom space aroma was also one of the elements designed.

The interior design, in short, has been oriented to the comfort of the traveler and mainly shows attention to his experience in premium class VIP lounges, for which special importance has been given to details.
