Art direction and global concept design for Sensorium 2018 at Firmenich Barcelona. From the set design to the graphic design of all the communicative materials of the artistic installation, they were designed as multisensory installations, where the client lived an experience.

Firmenich's motto and main ambition is to inspire consumers around the world every day. His Sensorium is a sensory art installation where creativity has absolute freedom and must be applied to stimulate the 5 senses.

Firmenich proposed us a concept to work on and we took care of developing it globally and applying it through scenery, lighting, graphic design, or music.

Firmenich, brings its creativity through the fragrances and flavors that they experience to impress and inspire their clients, and exhibits them in the Sensorium in different formats and applications, thus stimulating the sense of smell and taste.

Firmenich's selection of creative olfactory recommendations follow the most relevant socio-cultural currents that will be trends in the next three to five years.

These innovative concepts were designed at the “wONEderful” Sensorium 2018, to inspire Firmenich customers and to help internal creative teams on a visual, conceptual and semantic level..

wONEderful

For this Sensorium, Firmenich decided to transfer his philosophy to an unconventional setting that refers to a literary masterpiece of the last century.

We were inspired by the novel "Alice in Wonderland" by Lewis Carroll: A work with an imaginary full of magical resources that gave us the opportunity to let our imagination run wild, creating a set of dreamlike spaces that allowed us to play with the perception of all the senses.

We also created a series of oneiric illustrations and the books that support the concept of the installation in order to live a global experience.

Our vision

Our vision for Lewis Carroll's “Alice in Wonderland” referenced five basic global trends observed by the team:

- Change of identity codes and role models.
- New vision of time and space.
- Navigating the multiverse.
- In search of hyperreality.
- Living in symbiosis.

We recreate allegories to these trends through the language of perfume and expressions of flavors. We bring literature and trends within easy reach so that the visitor can enjoy them on a complete spatial and sensory journey through this global concept design project.
