The project
Luxury in a hotel is experienced at different scales, from the first impression of a space to the comfort of a seat or the quality of light beside it. This concept brings those scales together, considering how the interior can establish a distinctive identity and sustain it throughout a guest’s stay.
The project explores the relationship between visual character and personal comfort, creating a design direction in which both have equal importance.
The design approach
The approach centres on proportion, composition and the relationship between materials, furniture and lighting. Each element contributes to the atmosphere of the whole, with particular attention to how spaces feel when occupied.
A balance between openness and intimacy allows for different kinds of experience. Places for gathering and conversation are considered alongside settings that offer a greater sense of privacy, giving guests the freedom to choose how they spend their time.
Continuity across the interior provides a shared identity, while variations in scale and mood give individual spaces their own character.
The guest experience
A luxury hotel should feel attentive to its guests. Ease of movement, opportunities for retreat and comfortable settings for everyday activities all contribute to that feeling.
The concept places these qualities at the centre of the design, exploring how an interior can support both memorable occasions and quieter moments. It presents a vision of hospitality in which lasting impressions emerge through comfort, atmosphere and carefully resolved details.
