The project
The Firmenich Sensorium invited visitors to explore the ideas and influences shaping consumer preferences. Fragrance provided a starting point for a wider experience connecting scent with visual storytelling and spatial design.
Working from the concept supplied by Firmenich, we developed its physical and graphic expression. The aim was to give the selected themes a tangible presence, creating an environment in which visitors could encounter and interpret them through several senses.
The design approach
Set design, graphic applications and lighting were developed together to establish a consistent atmosphere. Music added another layer to the experience, supporting the relationship between the installation and the fragrances presented.
Our scope also included producing the sensory materials and scenic elements used within the space. Coordinating these components helped carry the concept through from creative development to the finished installation.
The visitor experience
Mind Nose Matter brought abstract ideas about culture and consumer preferences into a setting that visitors could explore directly. Scent, imagery, sound and space offered different ways to engage with the themes and consider their relevance to fragrance creation.
The installation provided a shared setting for discovery and discussion, connecting Firmenich’s olfactory expertise with an experience designed to stimulate curiosity and inspire new associations.
