The oldest information we have about the carpenters of Barcelona is from the year 1257, and its history continues throughout these eight centuries. There are extensive references and proof of the link between carpenters and cabinetmakers with Catalonia and their constant struggle to guarantee the quality of the trade and ensure its future, and that is that, after all, wood is part of the human being and we have to take care of it.

The challenge of redesigning brand identity
We carried out a very interesting graphic design job since, given the age of the entity, redesigning the brand identity was quite a challenge. And it is that sometimes small changes are more effective than large ones and trying not to lose its centenary character was of vital importance.
For the brand identity, it was decided to maintain elements of the original logo but adapting them with a new typeface to achieve a new logo. Other graphic design work was also carried out, such as internal stationery, posters and other elements.
Apart from this initial work, we have made your yearbook. A magazine-book that, year after year, has more prestige within the wood sector in Spain. One of its characteristics at the graphic concept level is the use of the letter A (for yearbook) on its cover, and it is that each year it varies in shape.
Working with entities with such tradition is not always easy from the point of view of changes in graphic design, but today we can say that the Guild has updated its brand identity and continues to evolve and innovate every day so that the sector of wood continues in a clear and sustainable way.
