Interior design of the Menzies Pearl Lounge at Copenhagen Airport (CPH).
Designed by Indy Blue Studio, the Pearl Lounge brings together Nordic simplicity and the warmth of Danish hospitality, creating a welcoming setting for passengers to pause, recharge and enjoy the time before their flight.
The project
Indy Blue Studio worked closely with Menzies Aviation and Copenhagen Airport from the initial concept stages through furniture procurement and the executive phase. This continuous involvement helped carry the design vision into the finished space, bringing together passenger comfort, operational requirements and the identity of the Pearl brand.
The refurbishment forms part of Menzies Aviation’s international Pearl Lounge transformation programme. Located beyond passport control near the C gates, the lounge serves passengers departing on international journeys.
The design
The interior draws on Denmark’s design heritage through clean lines, natural materials and an emphasis on light and openness. These elements give the lounge a local identity while maintaining the comfort associated with the Pearl brand.
The atmosphere balances contemporary simplicity with warmth. Spaces for dining and conversation sit alongside quieter areas, offering guests a choice of settings throughout their stay.
The passenger experience
Spanning 800 m² and accommodating more than 180 guests, the lounge brings together seating and dining areas, a buffet, workstations, quiet spaces and shower facilities. A private business room provides additional space for meetings and small gatherings.
Reopened in May 2026, the lounge offers a welcoming place to work, refresh or settle into a quieter moment before departure.
